Based in Erskine.
Hello! My name is Stephanie and Im a 21 year old aspiring veterinarian. I have years of experience with a variety of animals which I’ve gained from my voluntary work at various placements both at home and abroad.
My background includes excellent experience in providing basic care for animals in support positions within high-volume veterinary practices, animal shelters, farms etc. From cleaning cages and walking dogs to providing food and water and monitoring animal conditions, I excel at performing a range of tasks to ensure animal comfort, safety, and wellbeing. With a love of animals, a patient and compassionate nature, my additional strengths in communicating and my excellent time management all prepare me to thrive in taking excellent care of your pet, whilst also ensuring they enjoy themselves!
Currently I work part time in a small animal vet practice as well as studying medical science at college. I love my job as I am able to meet so many wonderful animals and owners and I enjoy assisting the vets and nurses to ensure poorly pets feel better.
I have previous experience as a dog walker and handled up to six dogs at a time. I was responsible for collecting/dropping off dogs to their homes, feeding and watering if necessary and ensuring the safety of all dogs. During this time I also gained my certificate in pet first aid and CPR training.
I have an nine year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who regularly joins me on hill walks.
I am available mainly Tuesday mornings, Friday afternoons and during the weekend, although these hours can vary. I offer puppy visits, dog walks, pet sitting and various other services.
I am happy to attend to whatever your pet needs, so please message me if you have any questions x
Stephanie is clearly experienced and knowledgeable with cats and dogs. We are so indebted to Stephanie for all her help. We find that many people avoid our dogs because of their giant breed (St. Bernard and Great Dane), but this did not seem to bother Stephanie at all. She even carried out extra 'meet and greets' for our St. Bernard because he was nervous of strangers! The St. Bernard has numerous health issues, including recent surgery for a cruciate ligament repair and epilepsy. Nothing seemed too much for Stephanie and she familiarised herself with the medication and exercise restrictions. In addition to all the cat and dog requirements, she even arranged cover for other dog sitter absences. We didn't hesitate in requesting Stephanie again for house-sitting and thoroughly recommend her to other pet owners.
Thank you very much for all your help and support Stephanie!
Martyn and Kayleigh.
Stephanie came to visit us before scheduled walk. She asked questions and what It was I was looking for. She played with the dog and made friends with him. She told me where she planned to walk him. On the day of the planned walk she sent me a text to say she had picked dog up and again when she returned him. She later sent photos of their walk. She took dog out at a time which was beneficial to the dog which I was very grateful for.. I would recommend Stephanie and I would ask her again.
