Hi I’m Rhys, and here’s a little bit about me: 

I live in Rochdale with my two cats- Spencer & Cynder, and two community fish tanks.

I grew up in a household of animal lovers, and this love of animals has passed to me; had many different animals growing up from hamsters, guineapigs, cats, dogs and fish.

With this in mind it only made sense for me to be a pet sitter or come to look after your pets as I get to do something that I love and makes me happy, and I understand that pets are more than pets; they are part of the family and yours will be very well looked after just as I would want mine to be if the situation was reversed!

When hired, I like to give daily photos & videos of your furry companions, I will also diligently follow your instructions of your pets routines and would even encourage you to write me up some notes if you wish as getting as much familiarity & routine as possible will benefit your fur babies the most...(which is so important when things are already a little strange with mum/Dad being away from the house). I will also respect your house like my own and make sure it is as tidy as when you left it!  

My first cat Tinker (long story regarding the name and a 10 year old version of myself with accurate child's intuition on cats personalities) was our beloved family pet for 7 years! Unfortunately, towards the end of his life Tinker developed chronic kidney problems due to genetic factors and required us administer a table every day. He used to spit out of every type of food and treat we tried to hide his meds in (a typical tinker we used to say!), so in the end we simply had to use our fingers to pop in his mouth and then shut his mouth while massaging his throat to get him to swallow it- this caused many a bite and scratch, but as a result I have become very good at giving medication to cats, and am happy to do the same with your moggy if required. 

Thankfully dogs are so much more trusting and will gobble most meds up in their food that you mix in, again just let me know and leave me clear instructions on any meds you will need me to give your pooch. 

I've completed dog training courses through The Kennel Club, and also done various volunteer days at dog shelter, and at 6ft2 and 180 pounds I can handle very large muscley enthusiastic dogs with ease and even help them brush up on their training while you're away should you wish :)

I work full time as a business insurance advisor on a split work from home rota with 2 office days a week so can be pretty flexible when looking after animals in the Rochdale area!
