Having recently lost two very elderly cats of 20 years 🥲 I now have two cats of 8 and 13, plus two energetic dogs and a variety of furry grandchildren, I am understanding of how hard it is to find a reliable and responsible pet-sitter when you need one I decided to offer my services as a local sitter to help out where I can!

I took early retirement after 32 years as a teacher and can now find the time to spend popping in to feed and play with your pets when you are away on holiday or are just tied up for the day and can’t get home in time for feeds.

Having worked in a professional capacity for so long you can rest assured I am reliable, responsible and trustworthy. I have four gorgeous pets of my own and will always treat yours with the love and attention animals deserve plus a little extra as they’ll no doubt be missing you! I'm used to dealing with both the young, the elderly and the downright anti-social as my own brood of cats have all been adopted ferals, two hand-fed every hour in the early days and now both recently deceased at the grand old age of 20. Your pets will be well looked after if you decide to leave them in my care and I’m happy to pop in to feed and provide company as you wish.

As Pawshake charge me 19% of my fee for an introduction, and tax is a further 20% plus petrol at roughly £1 per mile, I have had to adjust my fees from May to make it viable, apologies for this but I have no choice if I am to continue, thanks )

I recently took a break from pet-sitting due to caring for my mum who sadly passed away in June from terminal cancer, but now I'm back and able to devote my time once again

As I have no redress to reviews and have recently received a poor review from a User under the name Tiffani, I feel that some background is necessary . The client was unhappy that I had to report the conditions she and her boyfriend had left their kittens in. I provided an extra litter tray as only two very small ones had been left. The space in which the six, very young kittens ( from at least three different litters ) had been left in had no natural light and was only a very small hallway. I also provided extra food bowls, litter and food all at my own expens, as again, not enough had been left. The client had gone abroad but not booked for the full amount of their stay which meant that the kittens were left for 36 hours on their own without food, water, change of litter or company and subsequently had soiled the bathroom ( I had opened the door to provide them a bit more space as their conditions were cramped under the advice of the attending RSPCA officer ) Two of the kittens had been left knowing that they needed medical attention, this was confirmed by the attending RSPCA officer. All the kittens had signs of fleas

I can assure you that I take animal welfare very seriously and am very conscientious. The review left by Tiffani and her partner does not at all reflect what happened and I have requested Pawshake look into it with immediate effect. I provided video and photographic evidence to Pawshake of the conditions during and at the end of my sit as I was very upset to have witnessed the neglect I did report the situation to the RSPCA and action was taken
