Dogs have always been an important part of my life. Five years ago, our family began offering dog boarding when we were considering getting our own dog. We wanted to understand how our children would respond and ensure it would be the right fit for our household.

Having grown up around dogs of all breeds and temperaments, one of the things I missed most after moving to the UK 18 years ago was that special connection with them. As a family, we all genuinely love dogs. Our children are especially passionate, and we take great care to ensure a safe and positive environment. Before accepting any booking, we always make sure the dog is comfortable around children.

We accept small and selected medium-sized breeds. We also have our own family dog, Oreo, a Miniature Schnauzer. She is friendly, playful, full of energy, and loves socialising with other dogs.

We are based in Romford, just a short walk from Rise Park and Bedfords Park, offering plenty of green space for enjoyable daily walks.

As a dog boarder, I provide a safe, loving home where your dog will feel as welcome and cared for as our own. I offer regular walks (typically three per day), tailored to your dog’s needs—shorter midday walks and longer walks in the evenings and at weekends. Dogs also enjoy supervised garden playtime, plenty of attention, and affection (where appropriate), including cuddles, belly rubs, and enrichment activities.

I can also assist with grooming tasks such as brushing, paw cleaning, and bathing (by prior arrangement), as well as administering medication if required. My goal is to ensure your dog feels secure, happy, and well cared for throughout their stay. Dogs can sleep near us or downstairs, depending on your preference.

I am happy to arrange a meet-and-greet at my home so you can see the environment. While I can provide dog beds, I recommend bringing a blanket or item from home to help your dog feel more comfortable.

Summary of services:

• Dog Boarding: Your dog will always be supervised by either myself or my husband. We both work from home with flexible schedules, allowing plenty of time for walks, play, and care. Overnight boarding is charged per 24 hours from drop-off time. Additional time is charged at the daycare rate. For stays of 7 nights or more, I offer a complimentary trial day, half-day stay, or playdate.

• Daycare: Typically offered from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (flexible depending on availability). Dogs receive feeding, exercise, and engagement throughout the day to ensure an enjoyable stay.

• Capacity: I board a maximum of two guest dogs at a time (in addition to Oreo) to ensure personalised care. Due to space and family considerations, I do not accept large breeds.

• Personalised Care: I strictly follow your dog’s routine, including feeding, exercise, sleep, and any special requirements. We do not feed dogs from the table and maintain structured routines with appropriate treats for training and positive behaviour.

• Special Requirements: Rates may vary for high-maintenance dogs, such as untrained puppies or senior dogs requiring additional care.

• Safety: I always request emergency contact details for your peace of mind.

Vaccination Policy:

Your dog’s health and wellbeing are a priority. While our dog is fully vaccinated, I understand that some owners choose alternative approaches such as titre testing. I am happy to accept dogs with valid veterinary certification confirming immunity. Puppies that are not fully vaccinated may be boarded with appropriate precautions (e.g. restricted outdoor exposure).
