About Rachel
I love animals and love to work with animals of all shapes and sizes and I have a good knowledge and understanding of a variety of animals from their behaviour, diet and welfare, as I have recently finished studying Animal Management in college. During this course some of the modules I was taught were veterinary medince (learning skills such as CPR, applying bandages and health checks), behaviour and welfare, nutrition and animal health. Im also a recent BSc zoology graduate.
As I have said previously, I love animals of all shapes and sizes and I enjoy working with them. I have lots of experience with different species from reptiles, amphibians, mammals, fish and invertebrates. I have gained this experience from my Animal Management course by doing placement for the 2 years that I was there. I also have experience dog sitting and walking for my own dogs aswell as neighbours and friends.
As well as my 2 year placement, I also have experience with dogs at my local doggy daycare centre. This consists of being around dogs of all sizes who display different behaviours in a free playing environment.
At the moment, I currently have 2 dogs, 3 cats, a rabbit, a bearded dragon, 2 tortoises, a parrot, 3 giant african land snails, 2 snakes, a crab and 4 different species of mantis. Having all these different species of animals means that I will be comfortable looking after any type of animal from dogs and cats to more exotic species such as a reptile.
Your animal will be looked after well and I look forward to meeting them. Thank you (:
I currently go to university throughout the week but I will be able to fit the home visits and walking around that schedule, and I am very flexible on the weekends since i'm free most of the time.
I'll be sure to follow any instructions that you give me so that I can stick to your pets usual routine, and I will be respectful towards the condition of your house and leave it as I found it.
