Hey, my name is Rosie. I've received a 2:1 in a Zoology degree at the University of Lincoln and I am currently working for the West Yorkshire Police so am only available evenings and weekends. My previous experience includes work experience at Naburn Grange Riding Centre in York where I cared for the horses and improved my riding skills, volunteering at a few animal shelters and wildlife hospitals as well as being a lambing assistant for a couple of years. I have cared for a variety of animals throughout my life including dogs, cats, amphibians, reptiles, birds, sheep and horses. At my family home we have two Bernese mountain dogs and a previously stray Collie/shepherd cross which we have had since puppies and a rescue cat which we have had since she was a kitten. I also have quails and bantams which I hatched and raised myself and some chickens. Additionally, I have a false map terrapin turtle which I have cared for for around 8 years, a Corn snake, a Crested gecko and a gerbil. In the past I have also had experience with zebra finches, a Whites tree frog, a leopard gecko, a Barn owl, dwarf rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, mice and smaller dogs - Jack russels and Chihuahuas (both of which had puppies whilst in our care). Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and I find them endlessly fascinating which is why I have taken a Zoology degree and really enjoy pet sitting. You can be sure that your animal/s will be safe and well looked after in my experienced hands. The house - We have a great house that has a 1 acre enclosed field which is perfect for dogs to play in and to have a good run. There are some great walks in the area too which we have thoroughly explored with our own dogs. Dogs will have full access to the downstairs of the house which is spacious and all hard floored (ideal for cleaning any accidents!) and we have plenty of spare toys, bedding and general dog equipment. We have a kennel which our dogs enjoy to sit in on warm days - it also has a dog bath and grooming table. We do have 3 other dogs on the property, however only one will be in the house (spayed female) during my dog boarding slots and the other two are in a separate house. All small animals are securely caged and our cat enters through a separate door and is used to unfamiliar dogs and stays well out of their way! All questions are welcome and as I am currently working with the police I am fully vetted so you can be sure your animals are in safe hands.
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.

My Zoology degree has given me lots of hands on and theoretical experience.
