My name is Cathy Gilmore, I recently turned 23, and have had a family dog most of my life. I work 9-17:30, in a dog friendly office (currently just me). Looking to get a dog of my own when shelters re-open. I love the excuse to go for a walk or play with a dog any time. I can walk your dog for 20 minutes to an hour each time, up to 3 times a day. Happy to have a dog at home overnight and during the weekend. During the working week a socialised dog can join me in the office and at home with 1.5 hours of walking throughout the day. Also happy to check in on your dog at your place during the working week up to three times during the day. Will happily look after you dig at your home all day of a weekend.
I used to have a family dog called Tai, he had separation anxiety and painful hips. I go for a morning run, two walks a day and will give attention to a dog whenever it is near me. Would love to help with training and exercise or diet. I would love to meet your dog and help you feel more relaxed and enjoy your pet to the fullest.
Lockdown has been very hard, and a new member of the family is an opportunity to releave stresses and comfort all the family. Understandably however, with lockdown relaxing time is shorter and dogs may not be getting the exercise they need. This extra energy may then be channeled into more detective pass times for the dog. Also if the owner has been working from home but will soon be back in the office, separation anxiety is likely to arise. I have experience with similar behaviour and I am willing to help however I can.
I live at Kersey Court in Frome and will take any small/medium dog. Up for anything they need, walking, training, just watching, playing, socializing, etc. I was going to put posters through the doors offering to walk for free, but as this app exists, figure this is more likely to be helpful. I am greatly looking forward to meeting you and your dog(s). I have a small to medium back garden with a 6ft fence all the way around, and I live with my boyfriend who would join me at a meet and greet.
Cathy looked after our staffy Sox in July 2021 and was fantastic. Very communicative and thoughtful throughout the whole process and we could tell from the get-go that our dog was in safe hands which made us feel reassured throughout. I can't recommend Cathy enough.
