Hello, I have been a pet sitter on Pawshake for a number of years now, caring for other people's pets within S10 and other Sheffield postcodes. I have been lucky enough to look after dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish and chickens for other people whilst they are away from home. This is not my main source of income and since I am unable to have pets in my home but have a real love of animals, I enjoy spending quality time with the pets in my care so to me this really isn't 'just a job.' I voluntarily work for a charity from home so I have good availablity due to this flexibility. I am naturally kind and caring and love nature. It is important to me that pets are as happy as possible whilst their owners are away as naturally this may be a stressful time for a pet. Since I began this venture I now have plenty of experience with dogs that suffer from anxiety since those are the ones that need pet care at home the most. Presently, I am able to care for pets in their homes and dog walk within S10/S20 and the surrounding areas. I really enjoy walking, especially in the countryside or woods with a furry friend. Previous to this I have cared for quite a variety of pets - dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, fish.. even ostriches, for friends and family members. I have even lived on a farm with livestock for a while too. Within my family and some Norfolk terriers. During my childhood we also had up to four cats at once, labradors, spaniels fishes and rabbit. I also have a biology degree part of which involved studying animal behaviour. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like me to take care of your pet! :)
Cara looked after our 9 week old puppy whilst I was at work. She was clearly passionate about dogs, and was keen to see Muck as much as possible. Cara kept me updated as to how Muck was doing during the day.
Thanks Cara! Hope really enjoys spending time with you (she even whined when you left on your first visit!)
I am very happy to look after pets in their own home, either sitting with them or simplle taking them out where necessary. They may be far more settled in their own environment. I do not have a degree in animal care but I do have a biology degree from the University of Sheffield. I have a fair background in standard puppy training. I helped a dog with 9 puppies of whom we kept two.
