I have grown up with pretty much every pet you can imagine; dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, gerbils, fish, stick insects, and even a horse! I have always been a huge animal lover and it has even inspired me to go back to school in order to work with animals full time, as such I trained and became a veterinary nurse for 4 years.
Sadly, health complications forced me to have a break but I still have a wealth of knowledge including first aid and emergency procedures. I am now back in veterinary as a VCA until I can start nursing again.
This kind of experience is invaluable as I am now a very confident dog walker and the lessons I have had in dog training have made me an adept at dog body language.
We cannot currently have our own dog or cat, but we do have 3 mad ferrets, 2 beautiful geckos, and a snake! There is nothing I love more than being with animals and looking after them - especially when they need it most.
If I can use my extensive background with animals to help others out who need it then it would be great experience for me and my studies.

Very lovely and absolutely trust Holly with my dog. She's clearly well experienced with dogsitting and makes them feel at home within minutes.
Holly recently looked after our dog, Rolf, for his first night away from home. We were a bit anxious about him, and it was reassuring to know that he was with someone so capable and experienced, and who so obviously loves animals. Holly sent us updates to let us know he was doing ok, and Rolf had a great time. We will certainly be asking Holly to look after him again in future.
I have grown up with a menagerie of animals, so no pet is too big or too small for me to love.
I grew up with a border collie since I was 6, sadly after he passed away we adopted a collie cross called Charlie. In my later teenage years my parents adopted another collie cross, and I spent my time helping to raise them and learning the true meaning of man's best friend. After moving 4 hours away from them to go to university in 2014, I have missed them dearly every day. In more recent years I realised I really want to devote my life to helping animals, so I am returning to university in October to study a degree in Biology in order to progress into Zoology. I hope I can use this time to gain some more personal experience, and put my extensive animal care skills to good use and help others out. I am more than happy to do it all - be it pet sitting (my house or yours), dog walking, play time, or maybe your furry friend just needs a bit of company - I would be thrilled to help!
