Welcome!

My name is Oscar Byard and I have recently moved from Tunbridge wells in Kent to Aberystwyth in Wales!

I am well experienced in Dog and Cat care - but am equally suited to care for other domestic and exotic species!

I am currently completing a Degree in Zoology after completing a Animal Management Diploma with A* Grades.

I have worked with a variety of domestic animals; Dogs, Cats, Rodents, Horses and Goats. But I have also worked with a variety of Exotic species; Parrots, Ferrets, Snakes, Geckos and much more!

Domestic Pets

I have had a specificly large experience in feline care. Whilst working at Nutley Farm Cattery and The Paws Cat Cafe I have learned all the husbandry needs for different cats. How to administer different medications and feed to specific diets. I am prepared to deal with special needs cats, sick cats and agressive cats.

I also have experience caring for scared, argessive and reactive dogs. I have personal experience with a rescue dog who was dog, people and food agressive. I have also been dog walking reactive dogs for two years now.

Exotic Pets

I have learned to care for exotic birds, mammals, reptiles and fish.

At the National Center for Reptile Welfare I have learned all the husbandry needs for different breeds of snake, lizard and amphibian. This includes large Burmese pythons, False water Cobras, Spider snakes, Tarantulas, Different Dragon breeds, Basalisks, Leopard, Gargoyle and Crested Geckos and many more.

At Hadlow College, I learned that I have a great fondness of birds, especially parrots! I took personal responsibility for three adorable Conures and have since cared for a variety of poultry.
