I have grown up with animals my whole life, so looking after pets feels completely normal to me. I have had two cats, a very spoiled guinea pig, and now a lovely dog called Phlox. She is 14 years old and lives with my parents, and I miss her every day. Because I cannot have her with me right now, I would love to share all that affection with other pets. Caring for animals makes me happy, and it is the main reason I want to be a pet sitter.
I also have experience with looking after pets for friends and family, and when I was younger I used to walk dogs in my neighbourhood. I know how hard it can be to balance work, life and a pet that just wants company, so if you are busy, I am more than happy to step in and keep your pet from feeling lonely. Whether it is cuddles, playtime or a quiet routine, I am always happy to match what a pet needs. For safety, I only take vaccinated pets.
At home, I keep a clean, calm and pet-safe environment, making sure there are no hazards within reach and that pets have a cosy space to relax. I keep doors and windows secure, and I supervise pets closely during playtime, outdoor breaks and any new activity so they always feel safe and cared for.
