About Joely
At times my house has been a bit of a zoo, at its height we had one hamster, 6 rescue rabbits and one dog. Now I have house bunnies and two dogs. I've always had a soft spot for animals, I got my first bunnies when I was 5 and have had them ever since. For a while I was heavily involved in rescuing and caring for neglected bunnies and we also fostered a dog for 6 months whilst his owner was in hospital.
My two dogs are completely different, Lexi is a complete lapdog and Leo is always on the go wanting to use his brain all the time, He's also quite an anxious dog (we've just overcome his separation anxiety) and are continuing to work on building his confidence in other areas. It's been a challenge but it's meant I've learned an awful lot about how to manage his issues and picked up some great confidence games along the way! We also play scent games to get his little nose going and other training games from the absolute dogs training academy.
Because of Leo's anxiety I know better than most how hard it can be to go out and enjoy yourself. He couldn't just go to a doggy day care as he'd be terrified and wouldn't cope In a kennel.I'm lucky that I have family members who a lot of the time can pop in on the dogs but I know not everyone does so I thought I would offer myself up!
Having two completely different dogs myself I know that all dogs have different needs so I will do whatever your dog needs to be happy, I'm happy to play or just sit with your dogs or to feeds etc. I'm also happy to play some of the scent or absolute dogs training games that I have learned with Leo.
I treat my dogs like they are my family and would do exactly the same for yours whilst respecting all your training wishes! Both my dogs are raw fed so I have no problem feeding your dogs if they are too!
I'm also happy to pop in on small furries- giving a bit of fuss, cleaning out, feeding, watering etc is no problem at all. Having had so many rescue bunnies over the years I've got a keen eye for medical issues, they're such sensitive little things!
Unfortunately I'm very allergic to cats so I can't help with those. Any thing else you want to know please just ask
I've recently been lucky enough to move into a bigger house and so can pet sit too if needed. We have a lovely secure garden and detached house where your pooch will be right at home. I work from home most days so I will always be around when looking after your dog
