I know from personal experience the challenges of finding the right care for a pet, especially when they are elderly or needing special treatment, so I would like to offer the service that you need - I am happy to customise as required.
I am able to care for dogs requiring oral medication, suffering from seizures, deaf or blind etc.
I have had dogs most of my life though we have not had one for the past couple of years.
I have a teenage daughter who would be delighted for your dog to snooze on her bed, or be fussed over!
We live in a house with a good size garden which has plenty of shade and is securely fenced. I am happy for dogs coming for day care or overnight boarding to find their preferred space in the house - kitchen, sofa, bedroom are all fine with me, or if they have their own crate we can use that.
Equally, if you have specific house rules about furniture etc I'll maintain those while your dog is with me.
For dog walking I generally use Lightwater Country Park and walk a max of 2 dogs (or 3 if all from the same home).
You can also bring other pets to me - I am happy to care for your small reptiles, guinea pigs, rodents, chickens.
We keep chickens but they live in a secure run and ignore dogs.
Julie treats the dogs as her own. They were very happy there, great size garden for them to be let out into and fabulous local park for walks.
We were sent pictures and updates throughout and were very happy with everything.
Ideally located for an easy drop off before going to Heathrow / thank you Julie, we’ll be back :-)
We were very anxious to leave Lily with a new sitter as she has separation anxiety and it took a long time for her to get used to her current daycare who is on holiday so that we needed an alternative option. Julie has been incredible, asked so many questions to make sure she provided Lily with the best care and happy to accommodate any special requests. Would thoroughly recommend Julie.
I have been a volunteer in an animal shelter, working both as an adoption councillor and as a foster home for dogs not ready to go up for adoption yet. This has included caring for litters of puppies, pregnant moms, dogs awaiting or convalescing from treatment, and dogs too stressed to cope with the shelter environment. I am able to administer medication or other treatments as required.
