I live with my partner Chris, we are soon expecting our first child. We are joined by Betty, our old English x poodle, French lop rabbits and 2 chickens.
I have always owned pets and been brought up around them, a proper animal enthusiast from the smallest baby rabbits to once owning my own flock of sheep. I have also worked on various farms over the years. I occasionally farm for 2 separate people which involves looking after cattle, sheep, horses, chicken, guinea pigs and cats. I'm happy to look after small holdings if the opportunity arises.
I have a certificate in animal science and management, and am AMTRA qualified (not that I am currently selling animal medicine but have upheld my training). I am DBS checked through YFC (young farmer club, I am currently junior club leader).
Animals coming into my home must be vaccinated, that includes dogs and rabbits.Your pet will be looked after as one of my own and allowed access to the whole house, kitchen/living area and if they sleep upstairs with you this also isn’t a problem. If you have a routine for your pet I will endeavour to stick to this as much as possible. If you would like to bring your pets own blankets, toys etc to make them feel more at home whilst with me that would be great. I have a very large garden which your pet will be allowed access to, it is fully dog proof. I am now gone the majority of the time and so access to the garden is pretty much all day. We will also go for a couple of short walks around the local village.
I also also happy to dog sit your pet in your own home, happy to pop in once or twice a day. I am fairly flexible if you have a routine which you wish to stick to. Visits can be up to an hour depending on needs unless it’s an overnight stay.
I am open to having any species of pet in my home, please feel free to enquire.
This was the first time that our dog had been with Linda. The set up meeting was ideal , Linda gave us and our dog time to get to know each other. From the moment we left our dog we knew he would be ok but it was great to receive a photo and message on the first evening to let us know he had settled well.
Linda was readily flexible with our pick up time which is especially important when you might get stuck in traffic. when we arrived to pick our dog up he was sitting happily in the garden chewing on a toy and then of course was pleased to see us. Most importantly he appeared calm and relaxed and not at all anxious that he had been left and he had eaten his food. Linda's own dog is a really lovely, friendly dog which speaks volumes and she and our dog got on extremely well. We will definitely be using Linda again, thank you Linda for our dog a lovely weekend and us a worry free trip away for the first time in ages.
