I'm Ayla, a single mum who lives with my 9 year old daughter, Evie. We don't have any pets of our own at the moment (although Evie would very much like one!) as we travel fairly often so I thought that petsitting would be a lovely way to be able to interact with, look after, and get some cuddles from some furry friends whenever we can. We often catsit for family's and friends' cats when they go away including going to their houses to feed and play with the cats as well as having the cats overnight at my house for several days. We have a large open plan kitchen and living room area to roam around in and they love sitting up on the windowsill watching the going-ons out the window. We have a nice large garden and live in a quiet town with a woods nearby ideal for dog walks, but can equally keep any pets indoors if they are indoor pets.

Since I was a little girl, I have always had animals around the house - mostly cats as well as small animals such as rabbits, chinchillas, hamsters and hedgehogs. We had a cat who had diabetes who I had to inject twice daily for several years and given oral medication, so I am confident in caring for animals, whether that's simple cuddles and playing or more considerate care and supervision. I worked at London Zoo as a volunteer for 7 years where I absolutely loved looking out for the animals and giving visitors information on the animals. I have also done some volunteer work on a reserve in South Africa where I helped to look after injured and orphaned lion cubs as well as smaller animals - so if I can handle lion cubs, I can handle anything!

Evie loves animals too. She regularly goes on dog walks with my dad, walking, feeding and playing with his dog, as well as with a close family friend who we also go on dog walks with. She is a sensible and extremely helpful 9 year old and is very confident playing with both dogs and cats. She always seems to be aware of whether a pet is in need of playing or cuddles and both of us love to give both. She is always keen to help out in the hopes that I will get her a pet of her own! During weekdays she will be at school and I am at home most of the time for day care and supervision, and for any walks at the weekend or overnight we will both be on hand.

Although we are new to dog walking, we both have lots of love for animals and would love to show your furry pets some of that love whenever needed!
