Hi! I'm 26 and a huge animal lover. I'm just getting started back up on Pawshake and now use he/they prounouns. I totally understand if this is a problem for you and you do not want to book, I just wanted to mention this to clear any confusion around the old photos and reviews
I am an experienced and passionate pet sitter with a love for all animals. As I have been petsitting for over 8 years, I've had the pleasure of caring for many furry friends and building a connection with each of them.
From a young age, I have always had a deep connection with animals which led me to pursue pet sitting full-time. Throughout my life, I have always been keen to expand my knowledge of animal welfare, attending several summer camps at my local animal shelter as a child, learning how to train dogs and treat them humanely from an early age. I also attended an Animal First Aid course at Bridgewater & Taunton College in 2021 to ensure I can provide the best possible care for your buddy.
I started Pawshake when I had first moved out and was living in Reading. I knew instantly that caring for animals is what I wanted to do no matter what form it was in. Whilst living in Cardiff, I took a break from pet sitting and, instead, volunteered at a reptile shop where I gained a lot of experience working with more uncommon pets such as snakes, bearded dragons, tortoise, crested geckos, pygmy hedgehogs and even a bosc!
I moved to Taunton and started working for E.S. PetCare so I had to take a break from Pawshake. Then the pandemic hit and so that work stopped. It was a tough time, but it gave me and my partner a chance to get our own dog. This took longer than expected but, after multiple rejections due to the height of the garden fence (under 6ft), we pushed through and adopted Ruby from SPDC over 3 years ago and she has really completed our family. She's still a little shy around people but loves being a mother to all the dogs that come visit.
As a pet owner myself, I understand the concerns that come with leaving your companions in someone else's care so I take priority to maintain regular and transparent communication with pet owners throughout the stay, providing regular updates and cute photos as well as addressing any questions or concerns you may have.
I believe that every pet deserves individualized care and attention, which is why I take the time to familiarize myself with their specific routines to help your pet settle in and feel as comfortable as possible around me. I am committed to ensuring that every pet in my care feels safe, loved, and happy.

Koda has made a forever friend in our Boston, Holly. She adores spending time with koda and they have a great time on their walks, playing at home and having cuddles too.
Great communication, updates and pics.
Koda looked after my two cats, one kitten and one extremely nervous older cat. My mind was totally at ease the entire time! From the professional meet and greet to the excellent updates including pictures and videos while I was away, it's clear that Koda has a love for animals and an affinity with them. my kitten was obsessed following him around and my nervous cat even showed interest and affection! I was thoroughly impressed and Koda will be my go to pet sitter from now on! I'm so relieved to be able to go away and know that my cats are truly being cared for by someone kind, consciousness and who is knowledgeable about animals in general.
