Hello! I'm Carla, a mid 30's animal enthusiast.

I've been working in animal care for the last 8 years, as a pet and house sitter, in a cattery and kennels, at a cat shelter and at an animal sanctuary for farm animals. I love animals and looking after them is my absolute passion.

When you choose me to care for your animal companion we will have a consultation either in person or over the phone and I will ask questions about their care routine as well as providing time to meet me and ask any questions.

I'm happy to do extra things like plant care (I'm quite the plant parent) or bringing in mail as long as it's agreed in advance.

**I reserve the right to ask for an 'additional service fee' to be paid if you ask me to do things during a booking that were not agreed upon before the booking commenced**

I will treat your space with the utmost respect and your animals will have my full attention.

I am happy to look after most animals, but I currently don't look after dogs. I have cared for everything from cats and dogs, to rodents, reptiles, chickens, goats, baby animals requiring round the clock feeds, you name it!

I can administer medication, do minor wound care, clip claws, basic grooming and some basic training.

I humbly ask out of respect to my other clients that all animals in my care are up to date with all parasite treatments, regardless of if they are an indoor or outdoor pet as my previous experience has proven indoor animals are not immune from fleas and worms, and I want to keep everyone's animals safe and healthy.

COVID: Please let me know if you or anyone in your household has covid as I'm immunocompromised. Please let me know if you'd like me to wear a mask for face to face meetings.

I offer house sitting, and visits of either once or twice a day, ** if you need me to do longer visits of over 30mins please get in touch for a custom quote**

House sitting : With house sitting I will sleep over so your pet is guaranteed to have me there morning, evening and night. During the day the amount of time I spend with a pet will depend on the animals needs and my schedule. If in a consultation it is established that an animal needs lots of my time during the day I will reduce the amount of daily visits I accept during that period, however if they are used to being alone during the day I will accept more daily visits from other clients. They will always get a chunk of quality time in the day regardless, in addition to the usual food, water, litterbox, play etc. If they have additional needs such as medication this can all be discussed and agreed on in a consultation.

Daily visits: Daily visits will be from 15-30mins each unless a longer visit is negotiated. If an animal is sociable and wants attention they will get the full 30mins. If for example they are a roaming cat that isn't home for the visit, it will be 15mins whilst I put out food and fresh water, clean litter trays etc. If they are highly social and my schedule allows I'm always happy to give more than the 30mins, I want your animal friend to be happy!

Updates! I understand it can be hard being seperated from your pets, and it takes a lot of trust to leave them with someone new. I am always very happy to take photos and send updates. I usually do daily updates but you can tell me if you would prefer less. Never feel like it's too much to ask for more updates either. I love taking cute photos of your animals, I really don't mind.
