Hello, my name is Claire, I am 29 years old and I am a registered veterinary nurse

I believe in fear free handling, this means I do not pin or scruff your cat. I believe in gentler methods of medicating such as feeding in a treat, or mixing in milk. If your pet requires any further restraint please let me know, as we can decide on the best course together.

I naturally care about animals and with my diploma and experience I know exactly how to care for patients. I enjoy spending time with animals at work and it would nice to spend time with them in a less clinical environment.

As well as the basics of changing your pets food and water and possibly litter tray, I do like to spend time getting to know them. I like to do little extra bits to earn your pets trust, which can take to some time. I do this by playing, grooming, cleaning, basic training, socialising and cuddling of course. If your pet is very nervous or doesn't like strangers for example, I do not push the boundaries, I wait for them to initiate any contact. 

If you have any worries or concerns please contact me. I aim to offer high care for all animals, whatever age or species. But with my diploma I am also able to medicate and cater for pets with extra needs.

A little bit about me, I have a cat called Louie, a dog called Gus and a tortoise called Dee Dee. I have been nursing full time for 10 years, but spent many years volunteering before this. I have been a Guide and Brownie leader for many years, which I enjoy.
