 My husband Simon and I have lived in St. Lucia for the last 15 years. Where I spent most of my time volunteering for St Lucia animal protection society. We are now moving back to England as we miss our children/grandchildren. Being such an animal lover, I wish to continue caring for animals the best I can.

I think I have gained masses of experience during my 14 years of volunteering for St Lucia Animal Protection Society. Fostering dumped puppies from just days old, bottle feeding them through the night, picking up strays to be spayed and rescuing injured dogs. We have many visitors to the island that ask for help in taking a stray home with them. Due to regulations or the health of the animal some aren't able to travel with their new owners. We foster these until they are able to go, taking them to the airport and putting them on the plane so they can at last start their new life with a loving family.

Over the past 5 years we have house swapped in many countries, we are very respectful of people's houses, as we hope they are of ours. Returning to some quite a few times. We have also had the pleasure of caring for pets in some of these swaps.
