CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: I am still taking requests. If anything, I am more available. I am also being more flexible with my rates for those affected, so please get in touch if you are being impacted or need someone to take care of your animal while you are in self-isolation.
I am 34 years old, I live in East Lothian area and share my life with my 2 children, partner and my best friend Oscar. Anyone who is a dog owner will know a house isn’t a home unless there is a dog in it and will give you their everything until their last breath. Oscar and I have had some adventures together and at nearly 8 years old he is still my puppy.
Myself and partner work very opposite shift patterns which means when one leaves the other comes home, meaning your dog will never be left at home for any period of time. It will be welcomed into our family as one of our own and get a lot of cuddles from everyone.
Our house is a three-bedroom house with spacious back garden, large lounge and comfy sofas (Oscar can verify) that your dogs will be more than welcome to snuggle into, all dogs will have the run of the house. If your dog is a little anxious we also provide different size dog crates if required. All dogs will sleep in the lounge in their own bed and fleece, I would recommend leaving something that belongs to you, something with your scent on it to sleep with as dogs do miss us when we are not there
We live in the middle of East Lothian, so we have some of the best walks in the country. Musselburgh lagoons, Butterdean woods, Ormiston railway walks Longniddry/ Gullane beaches to name a few. We have a vehicle for dog walks and house visits if required.
You will be given updates on a regular basis if you so wish.
Please get in touch if you have any other questions I’d be happy to answer, it would also be recommended to come to our house with your dog to meet us and see our surroundings before committing
My pal Spartacus was boarded with Liam and family for 6 days while I was away on a course.
I found Liam and his charming family to be very friendly and keen to instil in me confidence that my buddy would experience a very welcoming, friendly, safe and caring home environment. Liam gave me regular updates with daily photos in reassurance of his settling in. I was very pleased to hear that Sparta endeared particularly well with Liam and Jenna's young children and their cocker spaniel Oscar who I believe successfully reprimanded and put 'the big guy' in his place numerous times (something the cocky fella often needs, being the puppy he is!). In short, he was made to feel an integral part of the family.
I have no hesitation in recommending Liam and family and have indeed myself already made another booking for Spartacus for when I go into hospital for an op in the near future. In fact, seeing the care and attention he had, I may well book myself in for a stay with them...!!!
Liam looked after my Cocker Spaniel Oscar for 3 nights during the October week and if I could give him 6 stars I would! He was really quick to reply and sent lots of photos. Oscar had a brilliant time and was so relaxed and comfortable with Liam. Couldn’t recommend highly enough and will definitely get Liam to look after Oscar again.
I am not a qualified dog trainer by any means but I am more than happy upon request to assist with basic dog training, sitting, waiting, paw giving and basic recall.
