I am a type 1 diabetic with a dream to work with dogs and cats! I have my own dog and cat at home which I love to bits. I love spending time around animals and making sure they have the best time possible! I am a uni student doing canine therapy so I would be able to do weekends and after 1:00 on weekdays. I am usually available during the afternoon. My services would include a dog walk, playtime and feeding if needed to. If the dog takes medication I can do that especially if its a tablet, i can offer doing training with the dog if that helps with everyday life for the owner! If the dog needs a wash after a walk I am happy to do so. The dog will have my attention for a couple hours or until the owner gets back, if parcels come or anything else is needed to be done I am happy to do that too. Depending on the dog i will do half and hour or more of a walk around the area you live in. If there is a dog park that the dog could also go to I would take it there for an extra little run around. If I was to stay in your home to look after your dog(s) I could stay for a couple days to a week depending on if its holiday terms or if I would have uni, the dog(s) will get 2 walks a day, lots of play time and would be fed and let outside in a backgarden. My motivation to be a pet sitter is due to my love for animals and my passion for their wellbeing. I have worked with plenty of canines from uni and work experience at a kennel for college. The kennel I did work experience at was called elmtree pet hotel, that was 75 hours of work experience. I love all size dogs but if im walking them they have to be either small or very well behaved on walks. If to be walked the pet needs to be vaccinated or have a backpack to be put in if wanted out without being on the ground where other dogs may be. Depending on the dog, the walk would be 30 minutes or longer. A home check in would include a dog walk, play time, if needed to be fed, make sure they go toilet. I am comfortable walking small dogs and big dogs if they are well behaved and won't pull. Due to being a canine therapy student, I am in uni most days however I can do pet sitting on weekends and weekdays after 1pm as I need the time to get home. I also volunteer at beavers on a friday from 5 to 7. I done 75 hours work experience at elmtree pet hotel which is around 2 weeks working with dogs, i would take them on walks around the grounds, help with feeding and sit with the dogs. It was 6 to 8 hours a day. When it comes down to holiday times, i will be free from 9-7 or later if needed.
