Hello! I’m Kate, a former U.S. animal protection lawyer with over a decade of experience in animal care and advocacy. Growing up with a rescue dog sparked my lifelong passion for animals, leading me to dedicate my career to advancing and protecting their well-being through direct care and policy change.

In my legal career, I championed animal rights and worked tirelessly to promote policies that ensure their safety. Currently, I serve on the boards of two prominent anti-animal cruelty task forces, where I actively contribute to shaping policies that protect animals from harm.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I have devoted countless hours to volunteering at various animal shelters, providing care and rehabilitation to animals in need. As a proud owner of three rescue cats, my partner and I have also fostered and successfully rehomed 27 animals over the past six years. My hands-on experience includes walking and engaging animals in enriching activities, administering medications, and offering compassionate care tailored to each animal’s unique needs.

With a blend of legal expertise, policy influence, and direct animal care experience, I strive to make a significant impact in the lives of animals, ensuring they receive the protection and care they deserve.
