Hiya, I'm Amber! I'm a Registered Veterinary Nurse, with over 4 years of experience in practice. My main interests are in small animal husbandry, medical nursing and emergency care. This means I am fully trained in animal first aid, CPR and can administer medication. I have always had a passion for caring for animals and have been lucky enough to be to do what I love for a job! I also have a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management from the Berkshire College of Agriculture. This has provided me with knowledge and experience working with a wide variety of animals, from furry to scaly to feathered creatures!

I work full time, so all pet sitting bookings will be arranged around my shifts. For this reason, I am better suited to looking after animals that do not require constant supervision or midday visits, such as:
●Cats
●Rodents
●Reptiles
●Fish
●Birds

Dogs - Your pets welfare is always my first priority, which means that I will aways be honest and realistic about the care I am able to provide to ensure your pets needs are met. Therefore, due to my shift pattern, I am restricted in my availabilty to look after dogs. However, I am happy to care for dogs over weekends or if there other arrangements in place during the day to ensure their needs are met e.g. dog walkers, etc.

House Visits - I offer house visits once or twice a day. I aim for the duration of each visit to be between 30mins - 1hr. However, this does depends on your pet and their needs. The timings of my visits depend on my shifts, but please inform me if there is a specific time your pet requires me to be there e.g. for medicaiton. Timings:
● Morning visits will be between 6:30am-10am
● Evening visits will be between 4:30pm-8pm

House sitting - I am happy to house sit while looking after your pet!
●For small rodents, I am happy to board them in my home

Services
Each booking is as unique as the pet I am looking after. During your time away, I will adopt your pet as my own and treat them with the same love and attention as I give mine. During each visit I will feed, change water, clean litter trays or enclosures and spoil your pet!

I am trained to give a wide range of medication, including injections, and am knowledgable on a variety of common illnesses and how to care for them. However, if your pet requires medication, please ensure that you let me know.

During your booking, I am happy to do a few household favours, such as taking bins out, collecting post and watering plants. I will always leave your home as clean and tidy as when you left it, as there is nothing better than coming home to a clean house! I will always ensure that your house is secure and locked properly whenever I leave.

Prior to Booking
Before a booking starts, I will arrange a meet and greet with you and your pet so we can get to know each other. During this visit, you're able to show me the tasks you'd like me to complete and how you like to have things done! If the visit is close to the beginning of your booking, then we can exchange keys. However, if your booking is a little way into the future, then I am happy to swing by to collect the keys closer to the starting date.

Returning Keys After the Booking
I am happy to return the keys to you in whatever way suits you best! I can drop them off in person once you are home, lock them into a key safe or simply post them through the letter box after my final visit. Just let me know what you're comfortable with.
