I am a 21 year old University Student and Animal lover! I have been pet sitting for about 5 years and in that time have looked after over 50 dogs, as well as other animals. I started dog sitting during my school holidays as I wasn't able to have a dog full time. I love the outdoors and I find taking long walks through the feilds with a dog a great way to get out. Over the years I have looked after everything from 14 week old puppies to 14 year old labradors, from Yorkshire Terriers to Husky. I have loved every dog I've looked after, each is unique and have their own personality. I am currently on placement year and working from home, this allows me to take dogs during the day providing they are calm. My hours are flexible and I can guarantee that your pet will get lots of attention during their visit, I am happy to give regular updates and send pictures at the owners request. Aside from dogs I also have experience doing house visits looking after cats, fish and rabbits (and I have owned hamsters). I currently only offer dog sitting in the comfort of your home, this means the dog is in a place they are comfortable and calm in.
During a house visit for indoor pets I will ensure all litter trays/cages are cleaned out, water bowls washed and refilled, food bowls washed and refilled, watering of houseplants and of course giving your pets lots of cuddles and attention.
While I love the oppurunity to have a cuddle and a fuss with the dogs I know some animals prefer their space and I am happy to do whatever I can to make your pets as happy as possible. I have experience giving perscribed medication, looking after dogs wearing cones, and redressing wounds. Although I have no formal qualification in any of these. I am happy to walk and care for multiple animals at a time but these animals must already know each other and be happy and comfortable around each other.
Before I take on any job I like to offer a free meet and greet so your pet has chance to get used to me as I belive this helps them settle when I come to take care of them.
