About Anna
Looking for someone who will treat your pet like one of their own — maybe even a little spoiled?
You might have just found your people.
We’re a full-on, tail-wagging, belly-rub-giving, treat-hiding, pet-loving family. Our home is happiest when there are paws on the floor, a wagging tail at the door, and a furry friend curled up nearby. While we don’t currently have a permanent pet of our own, that’s exactly what makes every guest extra special — your pet gets 100% of our love, attention, and care.
When your dog (or other furry family member!) stays with us, they’re not just “boarding” — they’re joining the family. That means cosy spots to nap, gentle playtime, lots of cuddles, and a calm, warm environment where they can relax and feel safe. We keep things fun, structured, and full of affection — with plenty of updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy.
Experience & Training - As a Registered Nurse by profession, care, vigilance, and responsibility are second nature to me, and your pet’s health, comfort, and safety are always my highest priority. I am confident in administering oral medication when required and carefully follow all owner and veterinary instructions to ensure continuity of care. In addition to extensive hands-on experience with a wide variety of animals, I have completed a Professional Pet Sitting Training Course, Canine Behaviour Training, and Pet First Aid & CPR through the Centre of Excellence, strengthening my knowledge of animal welfare, behaviour, safe handling, and best practice within a home-based environment. Over the years, my family and I have cared for pets of all shapes and sizes — from large breeds such as Dobermans to Sphynx cats, as well as smaller animals including mice and hamsters — which has allowed us to confidently adapt to different temperaments, routines, and individual needs. We have experience with small companion breeds and large, high-energy dogs requiring structured exercise and mental stimulation, as well as dogs who benefit from calm environments and focused one-to-one attention. We are also experienced in supporting dogs with health conditions requiring special care, and those experiencing anxiety or separation-related challenges, always providing patience, reassurance, consistency, and a stable, nurturing setting where they can feel safe and secure.
Location - We are ideally located just a short walk from Turbary Common, offering excellent opportunities for daily walks in a peaceful, green environment. At home, we also have a secure and spacious garden where pets can safely play, relax, and explore.
Equipment / Crate - If your pet is crate-trained or enjoys having their own enclosed resting space, we can provide a suitable crate for small to medium-sized dogs, so there is no need to bring your own. Crate size: 70 cm (H) × 80.5 cm (W) × 59 cm (D). In addition, for maximum safety and peace of mind, we use two secure safety gates positioned within the home. These are placed in doorways to help manage movement around the house and significantly reduce any risk of accidental escape. This allows us to maintain a controlled, safe environment while still giving your pet plenty of space to relax and move comfortably.
Children - We have two considerate children aged 10 and 14. They are calm, respectful, and used to being around animals. Your pet will receive plenty of positive attention; however, we fully understand that not all pets enjoy cuddles or constant interaction. If your pet prefers their own space, this will always be respected.
Smoke-Free Home - Our home is completely smoke-free, providing a clean, fresh, and healthy environment. Your pet will return home relaxed and comfortable — no lingering smells, just happy memories (and possibly a little sand).
Beach Walks - For pets who enjoy longer adventures, we’re also big fans of coastal walks. If your dog loves fresh sea air, sandy paws, and relaxed seaside strolls, they’ll feel very much at home with us. These outings are always tailored to your pet’s energy levels and preferences.
How Pet Care Fits Into Our Routine - Your pet will never be left unattended for long periods. My husband works from home full-time, providing constant presence and supervision, while I also work from home 3 days a week with flexible hours. This allows us to maintain consistent routines for feeding, walks, medication (if required), playtime, and rest. Your pet will benefit from a calm, settled environment with plenty of companionship throughout the day.
Rules & Routine - We respect and follow your pet’s established routines and house rules. Whether that means no furniture access or full “four-legged royalty” privileges, we’ll stick to what works best for your pet. From structured days to relaxed evenings with gentle company (and the occasional Netflix cuddle), we’ll ensure your pet’s stay feels familiar, safe, and enjoyable.
