We have had two wonderful dogs in the past, both terrier cross breeds. Hosting is great for us as we love to have a dog around, but are not yet ready to have another one of our own full time. We are four in our family, myself, my husband and our two children who are now young adults - we all love dogs and there is always at least two people at home during the day, so you can be assured that your dog will receive lots of love and attention whilst staying with us.
We live close to wonderful countryside and the coast so your dog will have at least one good walk a day and usually two. We try to follow their usual routines as closely as possible and dogs who come to board with us are very much treated like our own family pets for the duration of their stay. For this reason we usually only have one or two dogs from he same family at any one time. Currently we only accept bookings for holidays and mini breaks, ranging from overnight and long weekends to a week or several weeks at a time - so are not able to offer weekly regular day care.
Our home is in a quiet and peaceful location with a secure garden. We have access to both the sea, countryside and a local park with safe off-leash area. Do get in touch if you have any questions or your dog has special needs you want to discuss, we are happy to administer any medications and always happy to talk with you on the phone and discuss your pet before you make any commitment and in all cases we meet with yourself and your dog at our home before you book (around 30 mins), to let your dog have the opportunity to have a good sniff around and ensure we can provide what your dog needs. We take dogs from 12 months up. Our only condition is they must be happy to sleep in their own bed in our kitchen at night (light on if prefered).
All our dog visitors bring their own beds and toys to allow them to feel secure and have some sense of familiarity when they arrive. We are always happy to send photos, texts and call you while your dog is with us if you would like us to, or have any concerns at all about how your dog will settle.
My boarding License is with Chichester District Council and I hold a Dog First Aid Certificate
Our preferred hours are as follows:
Debbie is very professional and thorough. She is caring and calm and Henry was very happy to stay with her.
We felt very comfortable leaving Dillon in the care of Debbie; she clearly has an affinity with dogs. She’s thought of everything to help your pet enjoy their stay and takes the time to find out all about them prior to their first visit. Thanks for making it a “home” from “home” situation for Dillon!
We are experienced with dogs and happy to follow any specific routine, feeding, exercise, medical, or special needs your dog may require.
We are happy to take most small to medium breed dogs including puppies post 8 months if house trained and sleeping at night and also dogs of more advanced years. I also hold a Dog First Aid certificate from Animal Aiders.
