Hello there!

My name is Jess and I am the owner of Practically Pawfect Pet Services. I am a Friendly, reliable Pet Sitter and Dog Walker currently located in Findon Valley. My business has been operating since July 2019. I have always had a huge passion for caring for and learning about animals. Before I started my new venture in the summer of 2019, I had already worked in a couple of sectors in the pet service industry, one being a successful Doggy Day Care near me. I was a volunteer there for 3 years and then was offered a full time position. Whilst working here, I managed to get accepted for a place on an Animal Science degree at Plumpton College, I learnt a huge amount about animal care, their behaviour, anatomy and welfare all whilst putting it into practice. I also had the amazing oppurtunity to go out to South Africa and stay at a reserve. Upon passing my degree, I managed to get a cattery assistant role at a local veterinary practice specifically for cats. Here I worked my way up to becoming a VCA, in this role I was taught how to monitor cats during their general anaesthetic, take their blood pressure and test their urine amongst a wide variety of other tasks. Unfortunately, I was made redundant in June 2019 and this is what gave me the motivation to pursue my dream career and here I am today!

I am DBS checked, insured and have customers that would happily give a reference if requested :) As I mentioned previously, I am located in Findon Valley but also offer my services to surrounding areas and can travel out further for a small additional cost. The services I provide are below:

Dog Walking (Solo & Group Walking)

My walks will be an hour long once we have got to our destination. I want your dog to feel comfortable while also having loads of fun whilst in my care! Whether they are a puppy, young energetic adult or an older dog wanting a leisurely stroll...I can alter our walks to fit both yours and their needs.

Home Visits

I offer pop-in visits for you whenever you need that extra helping hand. I will come in to your house to let your pet out to go to the toilet, empty their litter trays, replenish water bowls, feed your pets, play with them etc and most importantly give them huge amounts of cuddles and attention! I can also give oral medication if requested. I will be with your pet for roughly 30 minutes but I can be there for longer or shorter periods of time if needed. I will give you updates and send photos.

Cat Feeding Services

I offer a cat feeding service for when you are away or just need a quick pop-in every now and then. I can come to your house once, twice or three times a day depending on what you require. Similar to home visits, I will come to your house to empty litter trays, replenish water and food bowls, give medication, play with them/groom them and again lots of cuddles! I can also take in post, water plants and I will leave your house exactly as it was when you left :) I give you daily updates and photos/videos to let you know how they are getting on!

Overnight Pet Sitting (in your own home)

My overnight sitting starts from 6pm and I will be there until roughly 7am in the morning, this sevice can only be offered to customers whose pets can be left for 4 hours at a time due to my other daily work commitments. I do pop in at the middle of the day to check up on them, let them out to go to the toilet etc. I will again do all of the above (empty litter trays. replenish bowls etc) and a walk is also included in my overight sitting price. Overnight sitting in your own home isn't just easier for you but also extremely beneficial with ensuring your pet is surrounded by familiar surroundings and smells so that they feel happy and comfortable whilst you're away.

If you are interested in booking in with me, I do offer a free 30 minute meet and greet session, where we will talk about your pet, your/their requirements and answer any questions you may have (maybe pinch a couple of cuddles and strokes too!). My ultimate goal is to make sure your furbaby feels comfortable and safe, all whilst having a fun-filled time with me!
