Hi,
My name is Mariann, I am a relatively new pet sitter. I am doing this jointly with my husband because he drives a car and I don’t so I need him to chauffeur me around. We are in our mid-thirties and we both work as admin assistants.
We have 7 beautiful cats (including a shy feral who lives in our backgarden) and because we go away 2-3 times a year, we do use pet sitters to take care of them and I know how stressful it is to leave the kids (and the house) in the hands of a stranger (or even a friend), especially when you are a born worrier like me. We will take good care of your pet(s) and give you regular updates so you can relax and enjoy your holiday.
Our cats have very different personalities and different needs (deaf, fat and toothless, treat-addict, lapcat, shy, regal etc), we will do our best to give your pet what he/she needs whether it is cuddles, play time or to be left alone after feeding.
We also had hamsters a few years ago and some goldfish in our garden pond. My husband used to have dogs, I have had cats most of my life, a few budgies and a turtle for about 20 years. When I was younger, I used to petsit for my friend’s family when they went on holidays, they had a cat, a rabbit, a guinea pig and fishes.
I have completed an online Pet Sitting course as well as a practical Pet First Aid course organised by the PDSA. You can see my diploma and certificate amongst my photos.
Although cats are our „area of expertise”, we are happy to take care of other animals, too. Even creepy crawlies are fine as long as we are given clear instructions how to take care of them.
Whilst we don't offer a dog walking service on its own, if you go on a holiday and require daily visits for your dog(s) left at home, we would consider including a daily walk as a part of our pet sitting service, however, we would probably charge a higher fee for that.
My husband and I both work full time, during office hours, so visits will be done very early in the morning and/or later in the evening. Morning visits will have to be short but after work we will have more time to keep your baby company.
We are also happy to water flowers and put the bin out on bin day if that is required.
My husband gets DBS checked every year as this is required for his job (he works in a hospital).
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
Cats happy and content, emails and pictures sent daily. It was nice to know they were being looked after! Thank you
When looking for a pet sitter we always look to see if Mariann is available. She takes excellent care of our cats. She communicates well, sending photos and videos when visiting. Totally recommend her for looking after your kitties.
