PLEASE take the time to check out
my reviews on here :) I get a lot of repeat business ESPECIALLY with cats and I used to be a dog person! I really take care of your pets, keep you updated, send pics & anything you NEED to know your babies are safe and sound. I can also take bookings at last minute so don’t hesitate to get in touch!
I am a self employed (freelance) personal trainer and tutor. I am 29 years old. I work from home alot of the time as I look after my bulldog charlie.
Working from home allows me alot of free time for my pet and any other pets I have the chance to sit. I lead an active life and would love to walk more dogs and spend more time with animals! I love being outside as I grew up on a farm and love the outdoors. I love all animals. I have a law degree as-well so I am educated aswell as caring. I grew up with a yorkshire terrier in my pram from birth. I spent my younger years with 2 female rottweilers and ducks. My sisters german shephard and shitzu are regular visitors and my dads 5 shitzus. I have had my little charlie boy for nearly 3 years now. I have specific experience looking after dogs as I raised my dog from 7 weeks.
My motivation to be a pet sitter and carer has come from two things. 1. My background around animals and how I love them. 2. My ability to care for my own bulldog and how much happiness this has brought to my life. There is no love like an animals love and I love caring for him.
My services include cat sitting, feeding and checking. Dog walking which can be long or short, whatever your dog is used to. I also offer house visits for cuddles and play time or I can come and stay in your house while you are away.
Please feel free to message me any questions or queries you may have & I hope to see your animal soon!
When you book home visits on this site, it clearly notes that you are going to get 30min minimum visits. I also mentioned this timing in my communications with Hannah. However, when I got back home after a week away I noticed my cat was (and still is a week later) very clingy (and there was some curtain damage so had obviously been climbing around which is a good sign of boredom). I thought this could be normal after being away, but I did check my Ring video doorbell just to check what happened whilst I was away.
These are how many minutes were actually spent at my house each day: 19, 6, 5, 4, 5, 4, 6, 15.
As you can see this was nowhere near the time that was meant to be spent. The two 'longer' days were actually days I was either there in the morning or evening too. Basically, my cat was for all intents and purposes left completely alone for a whole week. I did ask how many times Hannah saw my cat, and was told 3 times she spent 'proper' time with her and the rest would assume was outside/hiding. That may be true - but there is no 'proper' time spent in the timings mentioned above - and if the cat was outside or hiding, how is 4 minutes enough time to let her come out to get the attention she needs? People using this site aren't just looking for the cat to be fed - that's really easy to sort out - it's for a proper home visit and interaction. (Not even getting into how this cost me £96 for this lack of care).
I worry that if I didn't have the video doorbell I would have had no idea of this - and I wonder how often people can get taken advantage of because of that. I cannot say that this happens to everyone, as it could have been a one off, but it is very hard to recommend based on the evidence/experience I have had.
On the positive side, she was very quick at responding and pleasant when setting up the booking (although I gave her almost a week to respond to what I found out with the timings, and had radio silence from then on). And the cat seemed fed well.
Perfect as always!
I am caring and patient. I know how to look after animals and I am firm yet fun with pets. I know how to disicpline them but also ensure they can have fun.
I am strong so capable of walking big dogs and looking after them.
I have no fear around dogs and have never been harmed by one. I am confident around all breeds.
