I was brought up with dogs, at some point, we might have had six dogs at home. That ranged from labradors, mastiffs, huskies and street dogs. My brother and I would rescue dogs from the streets and we would train them. I love dogs, but at the moment I cannot have a dog with me as I travel regularly therefore I would like to help someone out when I am free. I would rather have well trained dogs. If a dog is not properly trained I can help in the training process but that has to be sustained at home or if not I will be wasting my time and the dogs time. Dogs tend to like me to. They often come to me and that is a good sign. If they don't come to me we probably won't get along. But if they do come to me when they see me we will probably get along really well. So generally with dogs it's very clear cut. Most dogs like me and as I say, they come to me. But occasionally a dog has not come to me and that is absolutely fine. The best thing is to get to meet the dog and then see. To start off with, it would be good to get to know the owners and the dog and then give it a try sometime for some hours, half a day or something like that. If that works we can try a little bit longer. I live by myself in a bungalow with a large garden which is fenced at the front and the back.
