As a 25 year old living in rented accommodation by myself, I'm not yet in a position to be able to own pets myself (much to my dismay!). I cannot wait for the day that I am in the position to adopt a fur baby myself, so having recently heard about this website, I thought it would be a fantastic way to utilise the flexibility I currently have in my day job to spend time looking after other people's loved pets until I can have my own one day.

I've grown up with cats and rabbits and have spent a lot of time with other family member's dogs. I've grown up with an animal loving family so am really comfortable around a variety of animals.

At present, I work from home 4 days a week and only have to go into the office on Thursdays (8-4). This would allow me to look after your pet during the day and evening which makes feeding times and walks much easier. If given instructions, i'm happy to administer pet medication. I do also have a car which is helpful if emergency transport is required for whatever reason. 

My day job requires a high level of vetting/security clearance and responsiblity, which I believe speaks to my character and trusthworthyness. I'm happy to tell you more about it directly.

Medication: Although I have never administered oral medication to dogs or cats, I feel confident that I can follow instructions well and would have no issue providing this service. My housemate is a vetinary nurse, so I can also run any medications and instructions through her for reassurance before looking after your little ones. 

Training: I am happy to get involved in any ongoing training your dog may already be doing. I will ensure that my approach is consistent to any that they are already used to at home.

Grooming: I am able to bathe or brush your pet if necessary.

Dog Walks: The length of my walks vary and would be tailored to the dog. If I am petsitting on a work from home day (4/5 days a week) I can be flexible regarding the time of day we go for walks. Whether that is in the morning, during my lunch hour or after I have finished. I understand that different dogs will have different needs, so will suit it accordingly. 

Time: I currently work Mon-Fri 0800-1600. I work from home everyday except Thursdays. This is perfect for petsitting and allows me to be flexible.

If your dog isn't allowed in certain parts of the flat/house, I will ensure this is abided by. Otherwise I am very attentive of the dogs needs (housesitting specific).

On weekends, I often enjoy wholesome activities such as swimming, walks, brunch or dinner. I am happy to plan my weekends around any bookings though. I would ensure any necessary security measures are followed such as, setting an alarm when leaving the house or minor things such as closing windows at nighttime, ensuring doors are locked etc. I am very adept when it comes to security due to my day job, so have my wits about me. I am a very clean and tidy individual and would respect your home and ensure it is kept in order e.g. watering plants, collecting mail (if housesitting).

 I understand that animals have different personalities and needs, just like us, so will do my upmost best to ensure their time with me is playful and comfortable, putting their safety and needs first.
