I am a retired IT professional living in Wolverhampton. We have a Victorian Terrace House which has a very long garden

The garden is totally enclosed and had been dog proofed with sheep netting woven into the hedge on one side and a 6 foot high panelled fence on the other.

The lawn has been inlaid with a plastic mesh to prevent digging of holes.

Directly across the road we have Bantock Park which is 48 acres in size and ideal for dog walking

I have owned two Dobermans over the years and now have a young Border Collie Jess, born October 2016.

Jess is well socialised and gets on well with other dogs, she is not happy around German Shepherds but is polite with them. Being a typical Border Collie she loves to herd people and dogs. We are out in the park twice a day and also walk along local disused railway tracks and canal towpaths.

All the local dogs run to me as they know where the sausage treats are but I take care to ask the owners if its OK to treat as I am aware some pets cannot have them for various reasons !

I just love taking Jess out and furthering her training as we attended a series of training sessions recently which is really teaching the owners how to train rather than training the dogs.
