About Laura
Welcome to my profile. My name is Laura and I have a lifelong passion for all animals.
I hold a BTEC in Animal Management (2006) and a BSc in Zoology (2009). I'm comfortable with all animals great and small. I have +18 years experience within the animal industry from working in veterinary clinics, kennels and catteries, sanctuaries, farms, hosting children's educational events and teaching animal studies in further education colleges.
I'm never happier than when I'm around animals. I can walk the dog, feed the cat, muck out the horses, feed the snake, water test the aquarium and hoof trim the goats- any care required I will happily assist. I am more than competent in administering any medication as required as well as basic grooming necessities.
I've been walking dogs, home visiting cats and small animals of all kinds for seven years, before that I was teaching animal studies for seven years which included theory lessons as well as lots of practical sessions with a huge variety of animals from aquatics and lizards, to amphibians, small mammals, snakes, farmed animals and exotic birds. My work experience during my studies includes vets, groomers, kennels, catteries, zoos, stables and farms. I am currently the guardian of four Boston terriers and a pug. Please feel free to message and enquire about home visits for any type of animals as well as dog walking. I cover Workington and the surrounding areas within 10 miles.
