I am a responsible and reliable person who always puts the wellbeing of animals first. I currently have a dog, a cat and 2 rabbits and have always had pets of many different types. When working with animals I prioritise building a trusting relationship with them so that they can get the most out of interactions and feel safe and happy while with me.
I have experience caring for:
Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Guinea pigs, Rats, Degus, Mice, Hamsters, Fish
I am happy to look after other domestic animals too
I have experience walking dogs from very small to very large, including rescue dogs and those with socialisation and anxiety issues, and those who don't have great walking manners. I can do basic training with dogs on request, including how to walk nicely on a lead. My family rescued Malamutes and Husky mixes, some with real fear around humans and other dogs, so I am used to working slowly to build trust with animals and walking larger dogs.
I also do some work at a local cat rescue centre socialising cats who are nervous around people or need positive outlets for their energy.
I wanted to join pawshake because I love spending time with all animals and am always grateful to have the opportunity to meet and bond with more animals.
I would love to hear from you and find out how I can help your pet have the best possible experience so you can enjoy your time out without any worries.
I look forward to meeting your animal!
(for the health and wellbeing of all the animals in my care I can only take those with all appropriate vaccinations and flea treatments into my home - however I can visit those who are not treated in your home)

Ruth was wonderful with our two kittens, will be booking with her again 😊
Excellent in every way. I am so happy to have connected with Ruth who looked after my three rescue cats last week. Two are nervous with strangers and the third has special needs being insulin dependent and partially sighted. At the pre-visit it was immediately evident that Ruth was skilled in handling these needs and they all relaxed quickly in her company. I was especially impressed that Ruth was able to cope with injecting Bob with his insulin (he did not even notice!) at visits twice a day with 12- hour intervals between. All the cats were healthy, happy and relaxed on my return. I have already arranged with Ruth to return next month to look after them again.
