Hello! My name is Megan and I am 20 years old. I have two beautiful family dogs named Harley and Bilbo. My current qualification is a level 3 technical extended diploma in animal management and during this course I learnt animal handling and husbandry for many different pets including exotic ones. In addition, this allowed me to gain experience with walking and handling different sizes and breeds of dog. I am currently a university student studying a bachelors degree in animal management and science and would love to become a pet sitter and dog walker during my studies. I feel that this would allow me to gain even more experience to help me with my university course but to also aid the pet owner in learning new things about their animals. If you choose me to care for your pet it will be showered with love and attention or given the space it needs if it prefers a quieter environment. Your pets needs will be my top priority!

What I offer during a walk: If your dog likes to play with toys during the walk I will play and give them as much exercise as they need. The dog will be taken to temperament appropriate areas such as if the dog is social with other dogs then I will take it to a dog friendly area. If the dog is not social then I will take it to an area where there are less dogs to reduce the animals stress. Minimum of 30 minutes.

What I offer during a visit: Play time! I will play with your pet as much as it needs or give them a cuddle if they need some comfort. I will feed, let them outside to go to the toilet, provide oral medication if needed and if the owner would like I can help with command training such as sit and lay down. If there is any animal mess inside of the house then it will be cleared up promptly. If there are other pets such as reptiles, small mammals, etc. Then they will be cared for too such as feeding, general behaviour checks and cage cleaning if needed. If any special requirements are needed that I am capable to do then I will make sure it is done. Home visits are a minimum of 30 minutes.

While walking and home visits I will send the owner photographs of their adorable pets to show that they are okay and having a good time. I can offer health and behavioural checks and if I notice anything that may need to be checked by a vet then the owner will be informed straight away. Both home visits and dog walks are available on mornings and afternoons.
