My name is Jenna and I’m 26 years old. Animals have always been my passion and I’ve known I wanted to work with them since a young age, especially having had pets my entire life.

When I left school, I went on to do a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management at college, which then lead to studying my Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology with Animal Behaviour. After completing this, I decided to further my education and do a Master’s Degree in Zoo Conservation Biology. At this point, I’d already worked as a veterinary kennel assistant, spent almost a year in pet shop retail and been on both my overseas voluntary adventures in South Africa (game reserve) and Romania (bear sanctuary).

Upon completing my MSc, I did an internship at a local zoo which then began my professional career in the zoo industry. I spent a few years working at different collections, finding my niche in animal training on the demonstrations team. This meant I was responsible for producing animal shows with mammals and free-flight displays with birds. This then got me a job working for a company that train animals for film and TV work.

Since then, I have decided to take the leap and start my own business offering different pet services and guaranteeing the highest quality care. I am fully DBS checked, insured, academically qualified, animal experienced and have a pet first aid certification. I am also working towards completing my bird first aid.

I am flexible with availability, whether it's morning, afternoon or the evening that my services are required and I also include weekends. I am trained to administer medication, know basic dog training and can offer a variety of services (walking, sitting, looking after pets other than dogs and cats). Home visits can either include drop-in (20 minutes) or overnight/daytime stay in which I'd stay with your pet however long you wish. I can also include domestic activities in home stays and will make sure the house is left secure and tidy. Dog walks can be either 30 minutes or an hour dependent on the owner's request. This would either be in the local area or if the owner has 1-2 dogs, I can transport them to another walking location via car.
