About Jackie & Derek
We are a friendly couple who love dogs and have experience with caring for them. In 2023 we lost our 14 year old labradoodle and we miss having a furry friend around. We are both at home, I work from home 2-3 days a week and my husband is retired. We live near some woods that are good for walks and we have a good sized home with a fenced garden. We would be happy to offer you the following services:
Home visit (within 2 miles of Barnston): We will come to your home and check on your dog, feed them, play with them, and give them some cuddles.
Doggy day care: We will welcome your dog into our home and treat them as part of our family. They will have access to our garden and we will also take them for walks to make sure they have plenty of fun and exercise. NOTE: Day care is up to 10 hours.
Boarding: We will look after your dog overnight or for longer periods if you are away. They will stay in our home and enjoy the same benefits as our doggy day care guests. We will also send you regular updates and photos of your dog so you can see how they are doing.
Please note that we don't allow dogs upstairs, they will need to be ok sleeping in their own bed downstairs.
NOTE: Boarding bookings are for up to 24 hours, so if you drop off at 10am you must pick up the following day by 10am. If you need extra time you will need to book a dog walk.
We are flexible and reliable, and will always try to accommodate your dog’s needs and preferences. 🐶

Jackie and Derek are two of the nicest people you could meet and have a genuine love of dogs. My two shih tzus (Pepe and Santi) spent the day with them and it was their first full day away from home. Although I believe it took them a few hours to settle down, they had their lunch and went out for a walk and they seemed to relax a little bit after that.
I have already booked them in for another day with Jackie and Derek and we are hoping that they will settle down a bit sooner next time.
We couldn’t be happier than having Jackie & Derek boarding our whippet Ella. They took great care in looking after her and she ran in their house with no problem. We will be using them all the time now as we know she will be well cared for and looked after and they sent us photos of her which made us at ease thanks again.
