Hello! I'm Eliza, and I am responsible, friendly, fun and love to play as much or as little as your pet needs. I am based in the Peckham/Honor Oak/Forest Hill area.
I have experience with big and small dogs, lizards, cats, rabbits, birds and fish, as well as sheep and pigs but I expect I'll see less of them in London.
I work full time on a hybrid basis and am available to housesit, check in, walk, feed and play as required.
I remember our family's first pets: two goldfish called Snowflake and Matthew. After some confusion, we changed Matthew's name to Sunshine, not only for thematic sense, but because it caused confusion when as overexcited children we screamed 'Matthew's dead!' whenever we couldn't see him in his tank. My younger brother was also named Matthew, and our parents stress level couldn't handle any more missed heart beats in response to childish folly. As the parents of six kids, I can't blame them.
Thus, the menagerie began to grow over the years: Tiger, Zipper and Thumper the rabbits, the Leonbergers Arwen and Pockets, the bearded dragon, the gecko Boots, the budgie Buckbeak, the black Labrador Pippin, pug Milton, Shitzhu Max, Henry the Scottie dog, James the lamb (raised until being released in adulthood after Pockets abducted him from his mother at our farm in North Yorkshire), hamsters, Guinea pigs and finally Bellatrix the black cat and Toffee the miniature dachshund.
I've loved them all fiercely and they've been loyal and treasured companions in return. I completely understand that a pet is a family member, and deserve as much patience and understanding as any of us.
The last two live with me at my home in Honor Oak, and if you've never seen a cat and dachshund play together, it's a wonderful sight - like an epic fight between a panther and a wolf in a David Attenborough documentary but with more purring.
