I'm Rebecca, your experienced and friendly cat sitter, offering a professional and bespoke service for you and your feline family member, giving you peace of mind whilst you are away. I am DBS checked and fully insured with Protectivity. I will bring documents to meet and greets. Excellent 5* references are available from other pet sitting apps too. 

I can offer up to two drop-ins a day of 30-40 minutes in duration throughout the day until around 6:30 pm. 24 hr House sitting with cat care is available with minimum 2 nights (I bring food, toiletries, towels. Travel contribution for to and from house sit requested). House sitting offers the companionship and consistent routine that many cats need (especially kittens and elderly cats).

Please note for house sitting, I usually need to go out into town once/twice per week to run errands (less than 4 hours out). I have a couple of WFH offline and online projects I do during the day part time, but spend majority of the day and all night with them. I keep other drop-ins to a minimum (often block off drop-ins on calendar) whilst on house sits. If you require more constant companionship and/or specific care than this, please enquire for a tailored price quote.

I am happy to take care of feeding, cleaning litter trays, providing play and cuddles (for those who like that!) alongside putting out bins, opening/closing curtains, collecting post and watering house/outdoor plants if required. Serving Chesham Bois & Amersham (limited in Chesham) residences for drop-ins and within areas up to around 15 miles for house sitting.

I have volunteered for the animal charity The Cinnamon Trust for over 14 years where I walk dogs and cat sit for elderly/disabled people unable to fulfil pet care responsibilities.

In recent years, I held paid roles as a live-in caretaker, gardener (RHS qualified) and cook in retreat centres in UK/France where I helped look after the resident cats too. From Gail Aylward at Moulin de Chaves retreat centre: 'Rebecca stayed with us at our retreat centre in SW France. She was a steady and reliable person, and we felt happy to have our centre and our cat, looked after by her.' I absolutely loved taking care of cats so decided to extend my love of animals (and people!) to a cat-sitting service. Alongside cat sitting, I am developing a creative home based business in Chesham Bois. 

I have a daily meditation and yoga habit, going on regular meditation retreats. Animals seem to pick up on this calm and positive energy that I bring with me, resulting in relaxed cats. 

I have studied animal courses online including feline nutrition, first aid and behaviour/psychology and continue to add to my knowledge regularly.

I offer two free meet and greets; the first at Chiltern Lifestyle Centre or on a Zoom call, and if both sides are happy, a second meet and greet in your home to discuss further details of routine and to meet your cat! This is to provide extra security for both sides and to ensure I am the best fit for you. If you need me to collect key on another additional date, £6 to cover travel costs/time is added or can meet in Amersham town for free to collect.

Please note I only accept fully vaccinated cats that are up to date with flea/worming treatments, in reasonably good health (can discuss working around medical requirements that develop for repeat booked cats where there is an established bond) and registered with local vets—also relatively friendly cats only (no aggression but nervous/shy cats are fine). Quirks are happily accepted of course!

In the highly unlikely event that your cat should need to go to the vet as an emergency, there is a £25 fee (not for house sitting) for first hour plus taxi fare and £20 per hour thereafter. Happy to liase with your local family/friends to take to vets or stay with your cat once there. I am not able to pay vet bills and potential payments must be covered by yourself or emergency contact (many vets if notified of holiday cat sitter in advance are happy for payment at a later date).

Holiday rates apply. Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve & Day and Easter Sunday are £30 base rate per 30 min drop in (one drop-in only per day) and £90 base rate for house sitting. All other Bank holiday weekend days are £6 extra on base rate for drop-ins and £80 for house sitting (Easter & Christmas Fri-Mon inclusive, others Sat-Mon).

There is an extra daily rate of £5 for each additional cat per household where extra litter trays and food areas need to be prepared/cleaned separately/different routines.
