I’ve always had a deep love and respect for animals, which is why becoming a pet sitter feels like the perfect fit for me. I currently share my home with a miniature dachshund named Rudy, a tortoise, and some pet fish. Over the years, I’ve also cared for hamsters, so I’m confident handling a variety of pets. In addition, I’ve had hands-on experience looking after cats and dogs—including those with behavioural challenges—and I really enjoy adapting my approach to suit each animal’s unique personality.

In the past, I volunteered at a hedgehog sanctuary, where I cared for sick and injured hedgehogs on a weekly basis. That experience deepened my understanding of animal care and made me even more passionate about supporting the wellbeing of all creatures, big and small.

Working with animals comes naturally to me. I’m a caring and compassionate person, and I bring those same qualities to my work with children in a school setting. I’m patient, reliable, and always focused on creating a safe, nurturing environment for the pets I look after.

I live in an upstairs flat in Gateshead. Our living room is spacious—Rudy even has his own sofa! He’s absolutely treated like a king. While I only have a small backyard, I’m lucky to live close to Saltwell Park, where Rudy and I enjoy regular walks.
