About Rory
I grew up on a farm and therefore had a large number of cats and dogs as pets for as long as I can remember. I currently own a cat and a young kitten, I would like to get a dog next but the circumstances have to be right as mine and my wife's schedules change often and we want the dog to have its needs met in terms of walking, attention love etc.
I am a freelancer in the film industry which means I choose my own hours, and making some additional money whilst helping others care for their furry friends is an excellent use of my spare time!
My wife has worked for Pawshake for years and has built an excellent reputation in our local area as one of the top sitters available. Now that I have more free time she suggested I get in on the action! Any excuse to spend more time with animals works for me!
I am available to dog or cat sit at your home when is convenient to you and I love having an initial meeting to get to know your pet with you there so we can all meet and get to know each other! Then we can talk about how you would like to proceed in terms of accessing the property, food and toy locations, local walking spots etc.

From the moment I saw Rory's profile, I had a good feeling about him.
Historically, I had always used catteries, but my boy is getting old and I was worried about doing that this year, so I found Pawshake. It was easy to find a sitter close-by and so I contacted Rory.
Before the booking was confirmed, Rory came to the house and spent a good amount of time getting to know my cat, Henry, asking questions, and listening without complaint to every instruction I reeled off! He shared stories and pictures of his pets and I knew I could trust him.
I booked for two visits a day and each day Rory would come in, feed and clean up any accidents (!) and spend quality time with Henry. He would send us videos and pictures to let us know how great everything was going.
The communication was great and I felt relaxed knowing that Henry was in good hands. I would wholeheartedly recommend Rory to look after any pet; he is kind caring and clearly very good with animals.
