Stephen and I have been pet/house sitting for many years now, and completely love it. We're great with animals, tidy, conscientious, very handy at DIY and definitely reliable. We enjoy travelling through our pet/house care, and I'm currently studying a Masters remotely, so we're doing this while it's possible for us.
We've looked after pups/kittens/aged pets, and loads of other ages in between. We've followed medication schedules and dietary instructions. And sat in anywhere from bungalows in the Midlands to smallholdings across Europe; from manor houses in the Home Counties to luxury chalets in the France Alps. We have taken care of a great many different breeds, temperaments, and sizes of dogs and cats, as well as chickens, sheep, ducks and fish.
We are great with general building care and garden care; very practically minded, observant, proactive and capable.
We do prefer the long stays: 2-3 weeks plus. It's easier for us to plan that way, and gets us able to really enjoy spending time in a new environment/new animals. But that's not to say we'd be up for something shorter!
