I decided to become a dog/cat sitter for a number of reasons. The first is I love dogs and cats; well, all animals actually! I enjoy having them around and find they naturally take to me as I am a calm, gentle but also fun person making it easy for me to connect with our animal friends. My family have had dogs all my life so I am highly experienced in more or less all areas of typical dog care (feeding, walking, giving medication, playing etc.).

My job is perfectly suited to dog/cat sitting. I am an ESL teacher and give all my classes online at home, meaning the pooches and felines can curl up next to me whilst I teach. I also make sure to give myself at least an hour's break everyday which gives me a chance to walk the dogs. Saltwell Park is a stone's throw from my house so regular park walks will be no problem at all.

German Shorthaired Pointers

German Shephards

I also regularly look after the cats of two of my friends so do have experience caring for our feline friends too!

I have my own pair of leads, set of dog/cat food/water bowls and poo bags to save you the trouble of bringing your own but at the same time I am happy to use your equipment if you prefer. All I would recommend is food, treats, medication, a dog basket (if used) and perahps a few toys, as well as a litter tray and the litter for cats.
