Hi, I'm Sophie ( female, 25 years old) and I'm currently pursuing a career focused on pet care! This means I have no other commitments ( as I don't have children either) so your pets will have the best stay and experience with me 1 to 1.
Living in the heart of Hillsborough, I have multiple dog friendly places very local. Including, Hillsborough Park, Rivelin Valley Park and Beeley Woods.
Having two cats of my own ( Mainecoon males, neutered) I quickly realised how difficult it can be to make plans for a holiday or even just a weekend away. This along with my passion for animal care has motivated me deeply to become a pet sitter/ carer. My goal is to be that person you can rely and trust to take care of your pets without question.
Having gained my Animal Management Level 3 Diploma I have experience and knowledge of multiple different animals. On top of this, having grown up with all kinds of pets from a very early age it's only natural I have gravitated to working with animals. During my college course I volunteered in a kennel and cattery where my main job was cleaning pens, toys and bowls. After college I then volunteered at an animal sanctuary where my job was not only cleaning but observing and socialising rescues to help them get adopted! Throughout my teen/ young adult years I have looked after many friends and families pets including dogs, cats, birds, Guinea pigs, rabbits and fish! Recently I have decided to pet sit/ care professionally which is going immensely well. I can provide reviews from recent clients as I believe this will give you peace of mind and reassurance.
I offer the following services:
Pet boarding - you will drop off and pick up your pets at a time that suits you, I'm very flexible. During their stay I will keep to their routine including when, how often and how long their walks are. Also making sure to feed them at their usual times as this will help them to settle quicker in a new environment. I update owners with photos or videos throughout the day as this is what I would expect if it was my pets. It's important to note that I live in a flat not a house. This will not stop me from going on multiple walks with your dog to get their stimulatio. I've had a border collie stay with me which we had 3 long walks per day. They also came with a crate! I do have two cats which I will keep seperate to keep them safe from each other.
Pet sitting - This is the same as per boarding however, I will arrive at your house at an agreed time. There is no need to worry about food and drinks for my self as I will provide my own.
Pet visits - I will come to your home for 30 minutes to provide essentials such as food, fresh water and litter cleaning if it's a cat. After this is seen to I will spend the rest of my time socialising, playing and cuddling with your pets
Dog walking - I do 30 minute walks for your dogs. I will arrive at your house, if you are not in we will agree on a place for you to keep the house keys. I will then take your dog on a walk and play with them to ensure they are getting both physical and mental stimulation. After I bring them home I can wash their paws for you if you're comfortable with me going to your bathroom.
Before any of my services I do like to do a meet and greet to get to know you and your pets bettee. This is a perfect opportunity to share information on their care needs and routine. However, I do know that sometimes due to last minute plans or changes in circumstanes meet and greets aren't always an option. This is okay as you can send me a detailed message with their care information on or we can have a phone call.
