I am an 18 year old student who has just completed her A-Levels and intends to study Veterinary Science at university. Since the age of 3 I have had two cats and grown up alongside them so I am familar in normal behaviour for cats and comfortable handling them. Furthermore, in 2020 one of my cats was diagnosed with heart disease and I was responsible for administiring her medication so I am more than happy to look after your older pet that my require a higher level of care.
The absence of animals in my life after the loss of my cats and the joy I get from spending time with animals are what motivates me to be a pet sitter and as an aspiring veterinary student I will always prioritise the safety and well-being of the animals in my care.
Despite being young, I have gained a myriad of experience by taking on many volunteering roles in animal settings. This includes having volunteered weekly at Hounslow Urban Farm making me confident handling and caring for more unconventional pets such as birds, snakes, mice, ferrets and rabbits. I have even got involved with horses through volunteering at Park Lane Stables RDA (Riding for the Disabled association). On top of this I occasionally offer to walk my friend's beautiful Golden Retriever.
