Hi! My name's Aven.

I absolutely adore cats and have been finding myself especially missing the company of sweet fury friends since the loss of my wonderful childhood cat, Holly. Not only have I grown up with a cat, but I have also spent time volunteering with rescue cats, feeding them, changing their litter trays and giving them lots of love.

I work part-time as a research assistant in biochemistry at the university and would love to pick up some cat-sitting shifts on the side and in the holidays, particularly over Christmas as I will be staying in Cambridge.

I am not yet experienced with cat-sitting per se, but am confident that from having my own cat for most of my life, and with my added experience volunteering in a cat rescue centre, I will be able to provide great care and company for your cat and a reliable service for yourself.

I am communicative, trustworthy and observant, so you can count on me to always get updates on how your cat is doing and to notice if anything has changed with their behaviour and let you know. I don't drive but ride a bike and am also familiar with the bus routes in Cambridge, so am more than happy to travel to your place if it is in and around Cambridge and would of course be able to take your pet to the vet in an emergency by Uber or booking a taxi. This is something I unfortunately had to do with my childhood cat when she got sick, but the experience showed me that I know how to act under pressure and in an emergency and would be confident liasing with vets to get the best care possible for your cat.
