I love animals of every kind; furry, feathered and scaly. I grew up with retrievers and attended training classes with them from an early age. As an adult, before I was in a position to have a dog of my own I fostered for Dogs Trust, and am now lucky enough to have a lovely, super energetic, and slightly complex spaniel cross, the first dog I have raised since puppyhood. In my spare time I lead group walks for reactive dogs and am always studying body language and behaviour and learning more about what makes dogs tick.
As well as my dog, my family and I currently have a lovely elderly cat, two guinea pigs, and two tanks of tropical fish. Over the years I have also kept rats, mice, gerbils, rabbits, tortoises, lizards and frogs, as well as volunteering for Celia Hammond Animal Trust looking after the animals in their care - you name it, I've probably looked after it at some point!
