About Nicky
I am a wife and mom. My daughter Lucy (10 yrs) and I are looking to do some pet sitting. We have both always loved animals and it makes us really happy to be around them. Over the years I've had 4 German sheppards, 2 collies, a chihuahua, a jack russell, a lhasa apso, 3 moggy's, 2 cockatiels, lots of rats, hamsters and fish.
We then moved abroad for 10 years, we did 5 years in sunny Singapore, then the next 5 in even sunnier Dubai. We loved our time abroad especially beach days! We are both music teachers and brass players, Lucy is also a musician, learning cornet and ukulele. My husband's claim to fame is that he plays for the world famous Grimethorpe Colliery Brass Band.
Whilst living abroad we were in rented accommodation, so unable to keep any pets. We moved back to the UK 4 years ago now and since moving back we have had a cat, hamster, cockatiel and fish.
Currently we have an indoor cat but she doesn't like sharing the house, unless it's a caged animal, so it's not possible to have a dog at present in our house. We are super happy to come and pet sit at your home where you pet is comfortable or to take your dog on walks. We are also happy to look after a range of pets (except spiders! Ha).
I am a part time teacher so have limited availability during the week but am available most of Thursday, then all Friday-Sunday.
