About Julia
Hi, my name is Julia and I am a vet student, which means I love animals so much I've decided to dedicate my professional life to them.
Unfortunately, I can't have a pet on my own right now and I really miss having around me a cute floof with waggy tail, so I have decided that Pawshake could be a great way to make some new 4-legged friends while helping their owners at the same time. My schedule is quite flexible at the moment, so whether you need me to look after your pet in the morning or in the afternoon/evening, I can probably accomodate that.
I have plenty of experience with dogs of different sizes, breeds and characters - with walking, dog-sitting and even agility training. I also have some experience with cats, mostly from volunteering in a shelter.
I offer dog walking, drop in visits as well as house sitting. To make sure your pet knows me and is comfortable with me, I will arrange a meeting with you prior to taking care of your pet, during which I will ask you all about them and their preferences. This is to ensure your pet has the best time possible with me :)
If I am taking your dog for a walk, I will ask you about the usual route and length of the walk, to make sure they get as much movement as they are used to. I will also ask about their social behaviour with other dogs, but also with people.
When it comes to house visits, I am quite flexible and will tailor the service to what your pet needs. We can agree beforehand on how I should spend my time with them, for example if they should be let out to potty, fed or just cuddled for a bit. If needed, I am able to administer oral medications as well as injections.
If we agree on house sitting, I will ask you about the typical day of your pet when you are at home and try to recreate that routine as much as possible to give them the sense of safety. I will be able to spend with them majority of the day, so I am sure they won't be lonely. Moreover, I can take care of the plants or bring in the mail too.
