Since birth both retired and working Police Dogs have been part of my family. Pets at home have included Cats, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, a Belgian/German Shepherd Cross, a Siberian Husky, a Boxer and a Labrador Retriever. 

Their personalities were so diverse. From a talkative Husky who loved watching TV to the gentle and protective Shepherds who loved herding the children when playing in the countryside, and a male Labrador who expects to live like princess and loves swimming the most out of all the animals.

One my previous employers was generous to allow pets both in the workplace and when working offsite, which brought my experience to dogs to what seemed every breed and age. They were usually to be found under my legs as their safe place whenever they brought a moment of embarrasment to their owners, as most dogs do at the most inconveinet time.

I am currently working from home and pet free at this time, however this week I was hosting a lost Springer Spaniel who has now been reunited with her elderly owner. I am willing to to be a pet sitter to fill that 'missing something' that all owners feel when the pet makes a house a home. I also appreciate the huge impact pets have on commitments such as work, social occasions and in some cases short term notice to be away from home.
